FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 2023 We are celebrating Fire Prevention Week at Lafourche Parish Public Library with visits from local fire departments! Meet our Lafourche firefighters, learn fire safety, and explore the fire truck. Many of our branches are hosting the fire truck during Fall Break, while others have invited firefighters to visit during story time. No registration required.
BAYOU STEM PRESENTS: POTION COMMOTION! Science, but make it spooky! Does your K-3rd grader love Halloween AND STEM learning? Then sign them up for our upcoming POTION COMMOTION workshops in partnership with Bayou STEM! Registration required.
Participants will learn about chemical reactions by stirring up a witch's brew, and will explore circuits by making trick-or-treat safety lights!
STAR WARS READS MONTH
Find the force at your Lafourche Parish Public Library this October! A good book will take you on a galactic journey far far away, and our libraries are stocked with stellar stories so check us out! While you're here, snap an epic selfie with Star Wars characters at all branches all month long. (Characters will vary by branch.)
