Library Calendar + Program Types with Brooke

Summer Experience 2025: Level Up @ Your Library is in full swing, and gamers are "pressing play" on a variety of programming opportunities happening at the library this summer!

From unlocking a ton of fun at performances to upgrading your creative skills at art workshops - not to mention scoring big with a bunch of good books - there are so many ways to level up with your Summer Experience!

If you plan on participating in programs with us, there's a few things you're going to want to know:

Library Calendar

• Check out upcoming events on Library Calendar at lafourche.librarycalendar.com!

• You have a few options for filtering our calendar to only see the events that are pertinent to you! Use the Filters toolbar on the left side to pull up programs by age group, program type, branch, or registration type. You can also do a keyword search if you want to view all of the programs related to a certain subject.

• There are also a few different formats for viewing our events. You can view upcoming events that are happening soon, or you can view our events in a list, monthly, weekly, or daily format using the buttons on the right.

• Click on events you're interested in to get the full details, including a photo! You can use the buttons on the event page to register for a program reminder, add the event to your Google Calendar or iCal, print the event, or share the event.

• Some of our events require registration (more on that below.) To register for an event, simply click into the event & complete the registration form to secure your spot!

Program Types

• We are introducing three new program types this summer:

  • No Registration

  • Registration Required

  • Limited Capacity

• Here's what you need to know about the three program types & what you need to do to participate in programming:

  • No Registration - Play on! These programs have no limit on the number of participants that may attend.

  • Registration Required - Programs with an *asterisk require you to unlock entry to the event by registering at lafourche.librarycalendar.com. Registration opens one week before the new month begins.

  • Limited Capacity - Programs with (L) have limited capacity with only enough space and supplies for the number of players indicated in parentheses. Entry to these programs is first come, first served. Doors to these programs open 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

• Look for these three program types on all materials related to Summer Experience so that you know what you need to do to get in the game this summer!
