Every month our staff plan and prepare activities for all age groups. No matter your age or your interests, you’re sure to find something you enjoy at the library. We have storytimes, painting, crocheting, Cricut crafts, macramé, bingo, and so much more. You can look at our branch calendars online or pick up a calendar when you visit our branches.

Although we love to entertain you, encouraging you to get a great education is most important. We are here to help students succeed. When you need help with your homework, contact Homework Louisiana. You can connect with a live tutor 7 days a week from 2 PM-Midnight. Tutors are available for K-12, College, and Adult Learners in over 60 subject areas. There’s also test prep for the ACT/SAT, HiSet/GED, AP courses, and standardized tests.

Students, if you have a project to do or a paper to write, check out our online databases. You get full and free access with your library card to World Book Online Encyclopedia, EBSCO databases, and Gale databases for all your research needs. Our branches are filled with print resources and staffed with librarians to answer questions and provide assistance.

We also have technology to help you succeed. All our branches have public computers and WiFi, and if you need to take the tech home, we have options for that too. We check out laptops, iPads, and hotspots so you can stay connected to the classroom wherever you are.

Each month, we choose a resource to spotlight. This month, we’ve chosen Flipster. If you love magazines, you’ll love Flipster. To begin reading current and back issues of all your favorite magazines, visit our Digital Library at www.lafourche.org or download the Flipster app. In Flipster, you’ll find magazines such as: Bake & Decorate, Catster, Consumer Reports, Country Living, Dogster, Food Network, In Touch Weekly, Louisiana Life, New Orleans, Newsmax, Pioneer Woman, Southern Living, Taste of Home, US Weekly, Woman’s Day, and so much more. Flipster is a great way for you to save money and clear up clutter. There’s no need to continue buying magazines when you can access them free on Flipster. Don’t delay, download the app, cancel those subscriptions, and start saving today!

Remember LPPL is more than just books, and we have an enormous supply of resources to educate, entertain, and enrich the communities we serve both online and in our branches. To gain access to our treasure trove of resources, the only thing you need to do is get a free library card and establish a PIN number. Already have a library card, but can’t remember your PIN number? No problem! Contact any of our seven branches and our friendly staff will be happy to help you. We look forward to seeing you at the library!
