Planning on participating in programs with us this summer?  Allow us to introduce you to our three new program types:

  • No Registration - Play on!  These programs have no limit on the number of participants that may attend.

  • Registration Required - Programs with an *asterisk require you to unlock entry to the event by registering at lafourche.librarycalendar.com. Registration opens one week before the new month begins.

  • Limited Capacity - Programs with (L) have limited capacity with only enough space and supplies for the number of players indicated in parentheses.  Entry to these programs is first come, first served.  Doors to these programs open 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Look for these three program types on all materials related to Summer Experience so that you know what you need to do to get in the game this summer!

FAQs

Q:  How do I register for Summer Experience programming?
A:  Most of our programming this summer does NOT require registration!  However, for the few programs that do require registration, registration opens ONLINE ONLY at lafourche.librarycalendar.com one week before the start of the month.  For example, registration for June's programs opens on May 25 & registration for July's programs opens on June 24.

Q:  Can I count eBooks toward my reading this summer?
A:  Absolutely!  Any & all reading that you do this summer counts toward your summer reading goals, whether it is physical books, eBooks, graphic novels, magazines, & more.

Q:  How much does it cost to attend library events during the summer?
A:  No matter what time of year, there is absolutely NO COST to attend our events!  In addition, all materials for our arts & crafts workshops are provided unless otherwise specified (this is why we have to require registration for some programs.)  We are proud to be one of the top providers of free family fun in our parish, so come out and enjoy this summer!

Q:  Are we too late?  Can we still register for Summer Experience?
A:  Yes , you can still register for Summer Experience at any point throughout the summer, but the sooner you register, the more prizes you can earn by meeting & logging your daily 20 minute reading goal.  Stop in when it is convenient for you any time starting May 12 (the start of early registration) through July 25 to register & pick up your Gamer's Guide participation log!
