Laura's Pick: You Shouldn't Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose

Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she's pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells -- and he's eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she's not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn't right with the ranch.

Grace is an over-worked New Yorker looking for some time to decompress. She books a secluded room at a AirBnB home in Wyoming. She asked that the owner not have any other guests, so it is just her and the owner at the premises. When she gets there, she is in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, no wifi and her car has just stopped working. Definitely gives off some creepy, beware vibes. Calvin, the home owner and Grace start to have a connection until weird things begin happening: there is a massacre of animals, Grace is attacked by a wild animal, the towns people keep staring at her, Calvin has secrets with his dysfunctional family, and a crazy ex wants you gone because of a one night stand with Calvin. The tension keeps escalating with each incident getting creepier than the last. Each of the characters seem like suspects and now the police have come out because the woman who was supposed to have been there before Grace is missing.

This was quite the wild ride, with lots of suspense as the many curve balls come to an end. Never saw that ending though! I recommending this to everyone who loves a good suspenseful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through.
