The Golden Meadow Library Historical Center relies upon the
support of our community in a number of ways, including:
Financial Support and Preservation Support.
Your financial support has helped to make the Historical Center what it is today and will help to strengthen it in the future. We have long-term projects in mind, including the refurbishment of the "Petit Caporal" -- the first motorized fishing vessel in Golden Meadow. The fishing vessel, on display in the town, has suffered significant hurricane damage within the past few years. This is a large project, and it will take a large effort.
Our Historical Center has gained a reputation as a repository for old artifacts, historical documents, and photographs of local interest. Families no longer wanting the up-keep of sometimes generations-old collections or who are wanting to ensure the survival of these collections for future generations entrust these to us.
We appreciate that trust and encourage you to keep those donations coming.
If you would like to talk with us about donating, in any way, to the Historical Center, please call 985-475-5660.
The Golden Meadow Library Historical Center is always on the lookout for relevant items, like this mortar and pestle, to include in our collection. Should you have items you think might interest us, please contact us at
