~Audubon BugMobile to Visit Lockport Library in August~

The insect world comprises millions of species.
In August the Lockport Public Library will be hosting some of the more interesting of those species when the Audubon BugMobile makes a stop at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3.

The visit is limited to 35 children, ages pre-kindergarten and up. To ask about registration for your child, call the library at 532-3158.

This program is free and open to the public.


~Pre-School Puppet Storytime~

On Thursday, August 5, 10:30 a.m. The Raceland Branch will be holding a Pre-School Puppet Storytime "Going to the Farm"


~Scrapbooking Programs~

The Golden Meadow Public Library will host a scrapbooking workshop for adults at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13.

Louise Adams will lead scrapbookers - or would be scrapbookers - in the art of scrapbooking. Those with scrapbook pages in mind can bring their own supplies for assistance.

The workshop is open to scrapbookers of all levels, including those who would like more information on how to begin.

The Raceland Public Library will host "Scrapbooking for Adults" on Friday, August 13, 2:00 p.m.

Both programs are free and open to the public.

This event is free and open to the Public.

Learn the Rules to Facebook and other social networking sites.


~Cajun Culture Cafe'~

The Larose Branch will be having their second Cajun Culture Cafe on Friday, August 20th at 12:00 noon.

It is an opportunity for the Larose community to remember and preserve the times gone by, and discuss what the Larose community was like in the olden times.

Coffee and dessert will be served.
Bring any pictures or memorabilia to share with the community.

The Lafourche Parish Public Libraries is currently offering Homework Louisiana powered by Tutor.com to the public. This free online service will provide live one-to-one help with homework, studying, and test preparation from grades K~12 in all core academic subjects including math, science, social studies, and English.

This service will be available from any Lafourche Parish Public Library, or from your own personal home computer using your library card. Live homework help will be available in both English and Spanish Sunday-Thursday from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

The Skills Resource Center will be available 24/7. This service allows you to search for helpful resources on the subject of your choice.
